Anyone else like the smell of melting soldier? I do. Smells awesome.

  2. IMRAN KHATTAK on June 1, 2021 at 3:16 am

So do you recommend your masterpiece can be used to plug the commercial mavic or Phantum…leave it for a while as to how to connect it with quad but if connected, will it work ? If it works, damn !!! I’m gonna able to multiply flight time (with bit compromise on weight) …

  3. Arnar Ingi on June 1, 2021 at 3:16 am

Seems you had some horrible solder but liked the video.

  4. Josh Markobb on June 1, 2021 at 3:18 am

    Dude that was legit!

  5. Lou Sheppard TriState Tropicals on June 1, 2021 at 3:21 am

They got this shit it’s call flux paste.. helps get a better bond n less breaks.
Also a clean pad helps too as to keep everything neater

  6. FMF CHOP on June 1, 2021 at 3:22 am

Great video. Few things, you’re not pre-tinning. You’re tinning. It’s one of those weird things like a "hot water heater". Why would you heat hot water? 🤔 Also, you can buy small tinned straps to connect the cells and keep everything flat. Something to look into. 👍👍👍

I Must Give a Grade of A+ for Concept,Effort,Successful Execution! As u said u did see a example on your computer, but that really means nothing to me, I see something every day if not every other day and My Effort I Honestly would say is A+ yet my record of successful execution is Drum Role A big Fat Goose Egg other wise known as 0 aka Never able to duplicate what I see,Oh I’m telling a lie once before my Mini Mavic Got Stolen I did seen a video of a fellow who put colored LEDS in the front of Mini making it appear as if it had Green eyes, and I pulled this What I thought was a Awesome Green eye look off flawlessly oh except when powering it on Oh boy I had put 2 Blue LEDs,but instead of possible messing up I grew to love those 2 blue lights and those only!
Once again Great Content I don’t understand why I dig your channel so much but it like oh my Gosh what’s Felex been up to,I going to try to find the next video to see how that cool battery works! I do have a Idea about the reason I have to fall off and catch up, Simply The stuff Or Brand U love, I love DJI anything is just so far from being affordable It kills me not to be able to follow along, Nothing Against U your Great It the Champain and Caviar Drone Like style that I wish I could watch with out it bothering me , but I to big of a Baby ,But I have Nothing but Respect for you and what and how you do it ! U do not rub it in like some other A-holes I will not Advertise for,Please Don’t take my Honesty wrong I really hope you don’t because if I have a burning question, or problem and I can get it put in the comment in a way u can make out what I’m asking, saying U always give helpful feedback, I Appreciate and Admire your work Keep up the good work

  9. CHOPPER GIRL on June 1, 2021 at 3:25 am

Building a 6s out of 27000’s is a royal PITA. I made some 4s and 6s and the number of solder operations you have to do per battery is 50-100. It’s tedious and insane. And it’s a mute point now, because I plugged an XT60 in backwards to my 7" fpv quad and blew out it’s ESC. So that XT60 connector is a killer just waiting to happen. On all my yellow XT60’s I had labeled them with a red/black sharpie +/-… so that would not happen… but guess where that one singel black female XT60 was… you guessed it… on my $500 quad. In under 1second while working on the bench going back and forth between Betaflight and the quad in a hurry, bam spark and that’s the end of the ESC music and my $500 quad.

  11. Shaun Williams on June 1, 2021 at 3:27 am

About to make a couple off these along with a field battery for charging my lipos. Thank you for very detailed video.

  12. TAMINO on June 1, 2021 at 3:29 am

Thank you so much for this video! The whole video was very interesting and helped me a lot. I’m looking forward to rebuild your Battery soon 😀

  13. Lou Sheppard TriState Tropicals on June 1, 2021 at 3:29 am

Also dji sells battery smart boards so you can not only make your own but you can make a you’re own smart one.. temp sensor, bridge etc also connecters so it will slot rite into the drone if your that good

  14. Andrew Steffin S on June 1, 2021 at 3:31 am

Can we able to use mobile phone batteries instead of lipo batteries?

  15. Adrian ADOR on June 1, 2021 at 3:32 am

Hi how to meak battery pack for jjrc12 ? My one a swallowed and not hold charge can you Help?

  16. Adam Botha on June 1, 2021 at 3:32 am

Just curious, what happens when you draw more current than the C rate of the battery? From what I could gather from what you said at 6:04 it puts more strain on the batteries? I am not super bothered by performance, I just want to be able to fly for longer.

    Nice vid btw 🙂

  17. Jeremy Boyce on June 1, 2021 at 3:32 am

Great stuff but still curious to see someone build a mavic pro battery since they are not easy to get and not really supported by DJI any more .

  18. Naitik Raj on June 1, 2021 at 3:33 am

Hey plzz make a video on how to charge dji mavic Pro battery without its own charger

  19. Rafael Torres on June 1, 2021 at 3:34 am

    This type of battery construction
we rc model enthusiasts did 20yrs ago with Nicad and Nickel metal hydride
and we experimented lithium ion batteries to but they had very low discharge rate.
    excellent instruction btw.

  20. Han Yolo FPV on June 1, 2021 at 3:38 am

Where did you ordered this batterys? I can´t order them to germany from the link

how would you connect it to a battery charger my charger will only charge till 5A ?

  23. Arunava Pal on June 1, 2021 at 3:41 am

Is this li-ion batterys are safe for Quadcopter ?

  24. Simran Gill on June 1, 2021 at 3:41 am

An amazing video . I was really searching for something like this . Though I still have a problem . I have made my own cinewhoop recently . A shendrone geyser. It is a little heavy since it’s a 4 inch cinewhoop and the ducts add up the weight. Plus if I am flying with the go pro , the 4s lipo only gives me only 2 minutes of flying time ( without go pro 4 and a half or 5 minutes ) . Will a lion help me get more fly time. I am using 2300kv motors . I am still not confident that a liion will help my drone get off the ground let alone increase the flying time. Is it worth trying ? Becasue lipos suerly aren’t worth it .

  25. JubalFPV on June 1, 2021 at 3:48 am

Nice video. Little tip,You need solder acid, scratching doesn’t do enough.

  26. Jacob Bouchard on June 1, 2021 at 3:48 am

You should look into a small spot welder. Soldering Li-ion batteries can be dangerous and with the ability to do it completely safe it isn’t worth the risk, plus it cuts down on the size and production time

  27. mike Gastelu on June 1, 2021 at 3:48 am

How about making a battery pack for Autel star premium, batteries are hard to find. They are about 90 bucks a pop.

  28. Vindula Herath on June 1, 2021 at 3:49 am

How can I charge this? is it safe to charge overnight? I mean, is there a protection?

  29. The Dro on June 1, 2021 at 3:49 am

Just made my first 18650 6S pack tonight out of a battery bank someone gave me with a bad usb port or bms. Can’t wait to test it out tomorrow if weather allows but i only have a 5" to test it out on at the moment. it did fine on my unofficial indoor hover test.

  30. Jack de Coco on June 1, 2021 at 3:51 am

Have you played with the idea to use a super-cap (like 85F) to handle the drone power spikes? I was curious if you can mittigate the Li-Ion batery lower discharge rate.

  31. Goitom Haile on June 1, 2021 at 3:51 am

How can i increase the C-rate(Discharging rate ) in Li-on Battery? Thank you for every videos.

  32. travis gillespie on June 1, 2021 at 3:52 am

Very helpful. Thanks for sharing 👍

  33. mosephina on June 1, 2021 at 3:52 am

Hi…my favorite part is how far you have taken FPV in so short a period of time. Building a 7" quad, and building your own batteries is remarkably adventurous and encouraging to others; myself included.
I know you have done the hover test. Have you used these under real world load conditions such as fighting gusts of wind at high speeds? If so, what are your observations?

  34. DENIL P T on June 1, 2021 at 3:55 am

Does it produce enough current ,. In my case. Lithium ion batteries give me 25a. Only

    How much did it weigh?

  37. Peter Bennett on June 1, 2021 at 3:57 am

Can you build an external battery for a mavic pro?

  38. Drone Pilot on June 1, 2021 at 3:57 am

Can I ask you a question. Can Mavic Pro motors handle 4S li-ion ?

  39. R Watson on June 1, 2021 at 3:57 am

Most interesting part was when I saw that little 30Watt soldering iron pulling off a 18650 negative lead solder melt. Really?!

  40. InfinityVision on June 1, 2021 at 4:02 am

I’d like to build a simple 3s pack for a bebop 1 drone. The original battery is only listed as 10c, I’m assuming 20c burst. Seems like you could easily buy some ions that could handle 20c.

  41. Steven Zara on June 1, 2021 at 4:02 am

That soldering iron is not hot enough. You’re getting cold solder joints.

  42. David Gilson on June 1, 2021 at 4:04 am

Watched this as I’m preparing to build my own pack for the first time.

  43. Al B. Dersame on June 1, 2021 at 4:04 am

Very cool video here. You have a great speaking voice too. I gotta study what you did here a few times to better understand exactly how you did this. One thing I learned for sure, is having the proper tools, and material for the job. That’s over half the battle, lol. I went through a lot of soldering tips, learning how to solder correctly. I like the soldering cleaner you have too. Gotta make one of those. First time viewer here. Thanks for a fantastic demonstration. Liked and subscribed.

use spot welding ….soldering is dangerous for you and li ion battery

  45. Julian Luck on June 1, 2021 at 4:05 am

Don’t I get dbl run time by running 2 pks in parallel

  48. Glen D on June 1, 2021 at 4:10 am

    Has anyone built any batteries
    out of 50e ?
