  2. JDub on June 26, 2022 at 7:27 pm

The buy link to the solder-free kit above is broken. Easy to find it, but thought you should know.

  3. PINAS ADVENTURER ANGLERS on June 26, 2022 at 7:31 pm

    the price it @#$%^&*()_……….

  7. Mr M on June 26, 2022 at 7:34 pm

the site says this drone can fly 6S… but it acts funny when you do.

  8. Dan Gerous on June 26, 2022 at 7:35 pm

At a certain point this is going to be so easy that you won’t be able to find any areas to fly.

They’ll be clogged with simpletons and children.

  9. Rob Muller on June 26, 2022 at 7:36 pm

14:30 what the hell happend to lens of the Air-Unit ?? Is the protective foil still on there or is it all scratched 😀

  10. Alex & Bee Forever on June 26, 2022 at 7:37 pm

I have a DJI FPV drone (with the v2 goggles, etc)
someone mentioned that I’d need V1 goggles? couldn’t I just use the gear I have now with this build?

  11. JoweeeFpv on June 26, 2022 at 7:38 pm

Brialliant idea. Any chance of this being available with an analog VTX ? Not everyone might be ready to spend out on an air unit and the goggles that are required for it.

  12. edgardo colon on June 26, 2022 at 7:38 pm

Just got mine today, got it done so far but unfortunately My kit didn’t bring the spacers and the most importantly bolt nuts to hold the components, another trip to get those important items. Regardless amazing kit and easy to build!

  13. scole901 on June 26, 2022 at 7:40 pm

cool, can you show how to use a spektrum rx with this kit.

  14. klo kal on June 26, 2022 at 7:41 pm

id love to see an analog version

  15. Bill McDonald on June 26, 2022 at 7:41 pm

This is the way forward. The powertrains have gotten so connectors on the larger platforms are no longer a factor, weight-wise. Also makes field repair a thing – which is why it should have been implemented *long* ago. Lets neophytes build custom rigs at a whim, like it should be. Many upsides, few downsides. More, please.

  16. Chris Smith on June 26, 2022 at 7:42 pm

First off love your videos I’ve learned a ton. I’m now learning that I need a better drone for freestyle. I like the no soldering idea but the link didn’t work. Also can I connect this to my DJI FPV radio like the one your girlfriend has not the black one you used in this video

  17. Mike miles on June 26, 2022 at 7:43 pm

    Great idea! Needs no receiver?

  18. Mike miles on June 26, 2022 at 7:44 pm

Also how much is the kit?

Can a GPS be added ?

  22. JP Tulo on June 26, 2022 at 7:46 pm

Just an FYI: The link in the description for the DJI Assistant 2 activation is not for the correct version. Spent some time tail chasing on that one! 😬 Scan the QR code that comes with the Air Unit for the correct link.

  23. ryff remy on June 26, 2022 at 7:48 pm

    how far can fly?

  24. Digital Pituitary on June 26, 2022 at 7:51 pm

Great job! Happy to see new and better ways to help people get involved in the FPV world. I’m excited every time Rotor Riot is mentioned. They’re always doing something that goes viral! Thanks for continuing, to pushing past the limits

  25. Phi-FPV on June 26, 2022 at 7:51 pm

Nice vid Drib! I bought the HD1 and the old CL1 almost 2 years ago, since then, I have only replaced one arm on each and one top plate on the HD1 (no serious breakage one top screw rip through the carbon but still flyable). Dam good if you ask me… Rotor Riot sells very good quad frames. … PS Please bring back the old CL1.

  26. Kid Tastic on June 26, 2022 at 7:53 pm

What is the weight of the drone with a battery?

  27. Braapzakk on June 26, 2022 at 7:54 pm

If you use a different colors than black electrical tape it does not leave that nasty residue. Plus it adds some color.

  28. Immortal BigD on June 26, 2022 at 7:54 pm

love the video i did try to build a FPV Drone on my own and soldering are on the right arm still on the shelf my question can i buy the parts and put it together with my Frame which is a IFlight TITAN DC5 "5" FPV Frame for the DJI Air Unit and the battery are GNB 1800mah 4s 130oc Lipo Battery and thank you and i have the version 1 googles with control too.

  29. White Pony on June 26, 2022 at 7:55 pm

This is gonna help a lot. My dad keeps explaining to me how to use a soldering pen because he can’t use it. It’s so annoying. and the real problem is our soldering pen is broken. He’s so stupid, I hate my language, I don’t wanna listen to him. I don’t know why good quality freestyle drone parts are really hard to find in my country. whatsoever, I don’t need them, I need you guys.

  30. Bush Crafter on June 26, 2022 at 7:57 pm

Rotor Riot why did you send both of the Tmotor solderlees kits That I paid over 130 apiece without the power leads soldered???? That is the hardest part for me to solder be cause I need large Iron to pool large solder joints, Do you nguys not like me, Are ya incompedent? Or only care about the money?

  31. David Dong on June 26, 2022 at 7:57 pm

    Great video first of all.
I know ur target audiences r FPV pilots, but for average guy like me, just way too much camera movement and make me dizzy, please hold the parts more steady, make the camera guy’s life easier. So he can get more smooth shots and better focus.
keep the great product going! love ur drones!

  32. Christopher Lenahan on June 26, 2022 at 7:58 pm

Are the screws aluminum? If they are steel and you switched them for titanium would that make a noticeable performance difference?

  33. Rick Maddox on June 26, 2022 at 7:59 pm

Bought the stack and motors. Used a different frame. wired it up and mounted all the components like you showed in your video. The flight controller appears to have no valid configuration in it. Can I down load he configuration file?

  34. What'a'nerd on June 26, 2022 at 8:00 pm

22:26 if you’ve never flown a drone.. GET A SIMULATOR AND SPEND 10 HOURS THERE! it helps…

  35. Prathiban Saiman on June 26, 2022 at 8:00 pm

Can i get the link where can i purchase this DYI drone kits.

  36. Viktorover9000 on June 26, 2022 at 8:01 pm

  37. ApriliaJo on June 26, 2022 at 8:02 pm

I seen the Josh/Ken video on this and it interest me for my first FPV. The first FPV part I have is the RadioMaster TX16S with TBS Crossfire. Can I get one of those sets with TBS Crossfire, GPS and Digital?

  38. IraDalor on June 26, 2022 at 8:04 pm

I know everyone is looking at this from an ease of entry perspective. As someone who’s already deep in the hobby I see a huge maintenance advantage to this as well if this trend continues

  39. robert brander on June 26, 2022 at 8:05 pm

Quadcopters used to be plug and play … everything was Pins and Plugs a few years ago … That’s when Everyone was interested in just looking around calmly flying … Until the Drone Punks showed up and Promoted … Speed , Dangerous Flying , Stupid Tricks , Racing and Crashing .. including in and around buildings and structures ! … Now , It’s Not Cool to use your drone to fly in a Responsible Way … You have to Fly like a Maniac ! … The Punks got the notice of the FAA … Now the Hobby is Regulated !! … Thanks a Lot ! …. Now you’re back to Plug and Play …… LOL ! … Amazing ……

  40. Néstor Carrasco | MTB & Outdoor on June 26, 2022 at 8:06 pm

Amazing. Besides those goggles, my current DJI MINI 2 controller should work???

  41. Pilota Non Grata on June 26, 2022 at 8:10 pm

Genius! Made my day .. I’m hopeless at soldering. I’ll order now!

  42. Ray V on June 26, 2022 at 8:10 pm

Can I use any fpv goggles or does it have to be the DJI HD goggles?

  43. jerry ornek on June 26, 2022 at 8:12 pm

Does it work with the hd1-XR

  44. Sphyxx on June 26, 2022 at 8:16 pm

I’ve seen this YouTube short of "correctly" applying loctite where you basically soak the screw in loctite and even add loctite to the threads inside the hole where you’re putting the screw and everytime I see and hear someone using loctite I just look back to that video and laugh my ass off

  45. a Beekeeper's Life on June 26, 2022 at 8:17 pm

Are there any distributors for this in the EU? The customs cost could be very high otherwise. Great video!

  46. Sightzfpv on June 26, 2022 at 8:17 pm

Yea and more expensive I’ll stick to soldering

  47. Robert Johnson on June 26, 2022 at 8:21 pm

  48. Daniel Poulin on June 26, 2022 at 8:21 pm

do you have a model for biginners that is a bit more budjet friendly, over 500$ is a bit steep for a first build

  49. Phil Churchill on June 26, 2022 at 8:23 pm

I just ordered one of these. Looking forward to building it, and most of all, flying it.
Thanks for what you all do!
