Don’t know how you can compile this list without the $410 4K GPS drone with a 5km range and almost 30 mins of flying time – Fimi X8.

  2. ETC Flyers on December 25, 2020 at 10:12 pm

I have owned every DJI except the inspire and the MA for me is the best all around drone and the video is better than the M2 zoom which I also own,

How did the mavick air not make it on your list?

  4. mike stroup on December 25, 2020 at 10:17 pm

I was s’prised mavic Air wasn’t on the list too.. similar price to parrot… and I think it is superior on every feature..

I bought a Potensic A20 because of your review of it. It’s my first drone, and I love it. I keep it at work and fly it there on break sometimes. I work in an ancient building that used to be a textile mill. It’s the perfect place for a drone like that, with its 30′ ceilings and good variety of obstacles and open space. A colleague crashed it once, and it fell from about 25′ to the concrete floor, but didn’t seem to take any damage. Tough little thing. Anyway, thanks for getting me started.

I expected to see the Mavic Air! Great bang for the buck and a beast in the wind. It’s a real performer in a non-urban environment!

  7. Gemster18 on December 25, 2020 at 10:24 pm

I’m a little bit surprised that you didn’t pick the parrot Bebop 2? Since it is a camera drone, it’s under $1,000, it comes with fpv goggles, and all-around is a pretty solid drone? What are your thoughts on that?

  8. stripervince1 on December 25, 2020 at 10:25 pm

I have a hubsan x4 pro and it’s awesome for $140-180. Now I lost it in the swamp for 3 days it was in a tree 9 "ft. Up. But it rained one day and now only the" A" props work. The "B", ones dont

  9. Pedro Jose Diaz del Castillo on December 25, 2020 at 10:28 pm

The Parrot mambo is a good toy drone

  10. Hotwire on December 25, 2020 at 10:30 pm

Best value best performing. 2-3" FPV quad, Kingkong egg series. They now use an F4 FC and the motors are amazing for the price. The 136 frame takes mini size FPV camera eg Runcam mini2

  11. Inglourious Buster on December 25, 2020 at 10:31 pm

How could you not have the Autel Evo on the list? Superior than Dji Mavic Pro Platinum and comes with a display on the controller

  12. Black Ops Drones on December 25, 2020 at 10:31 pm

I’m with John, the Evo is unarguably the best drone for under a 1k…period.

  13. Amazedgar TM on December 25, 2020 at 10:32 pm

I was surprised you did not include the mavic air, I think it should be in number 1 spot based on price and camera specs

  15. Agent К on December 25, 2020 at 10:32 pm

8:15 that was so cool. How many tries did that take?

  16. Christoffer Dalager-Pedersen on December 25, 2020 at 10:33 pm

Hi! Is it dumb to buy an mavic Pro 2 if you only make videos for fun, without earning any money on the drone?

  17. Jims Droneing on December 25, 2020 at 10:33 pm

as a lot have mentioned Kelly mavic air should have made this list is better quality build than anafi

  18. BadTuna on December 25, 2020 at 10:34 pm

    Autel Evo?

  19. Pm Tips on December 25, 2020 at 10:35 pm

"in 2019, this list helped me decide for the best drone *scafe.shop/tbd2019?FT* hope it helps you out too!"

  23. SamGame G on December 25, 2020 at 10:41 pm

I think the mavic air is WAY better than the parrot anafi

  24. Sanju Shahi on December 25, 2020 at 10:43 pm

I think mavic air should be instead of parrot anafi. It is the greatest.
If only the foldable and quiet props like mavic pro platinum was there it would bel the best traveller drone.
Like so Kelly can see it

  25. Jerry Randrup on December 25, 2020 at 10:43 pm

EVO is the only drone in this price range that is capable of shooting in 4K @ 60fps, also no flight restrictions in the app, and made in the USA! Def should be a contender on this list!

  26. Jay Fuller on December 25, 2020 at 10:44 pm

To all those asking about the air, I recently compared it with the anafi which he DID include in his list and found it 1. flies longer 2. Has digital zoom capabilities 3. ~ 10 db Quieter 4. Less expensive 5. Lighter 6. Shoots 180 degree in case you want to shoot directly above 7. Better picture quality stills 8. Easier to unfold and quicker to launch and maybe more that I’ve missed BUT….. I picked the air and own one (also a spark and a bugs drone too). The Air does THIS better. 1. Seems better structurally built 2. 120 fps @ 1080p for slow motion and high speed frame rates 3. Better controller 4. collision sensors 5. Faster 6. Better active tracking 7. Hand gestures ability 8. More compact…. At the end of the day it’s your money and pick the one that fits what you’re personally looking for. I personally pick DJI. ACTUALLY I THINK "READY SET DRONE" DID A COMPARISON VIDEO BETWEEN THESE 2 MODELS. GO LOOK IT UP AND HAPPY SAFE FLYING OUT THERE GUYS. PEACE

  27. Maltese Falcon on December 25, 2020 at 10:44 pm

Why is the mavic air not in your list? Is there something I should know before I but one?

  29. Steve Bunyan on December 25, 2020 at 10:44 pm

  30. Wim Veen on December 25, 2020 at 10:46 pm

Thanks for sharing this great video. You always give good advice, without pushing to buy this or that.

  31. Alan on December 25, 2020 at 10:47 pm

Excellent picks Kelly!! I know the Autel Evo is just under the 1K mark & is a great drone. Could you do a review of that one? Have an awesome weekend 😊

  32. Vantage Point Video on December 25, 2020 at 10:47 pm

Hey, Kelly. It’s that time of year. The Potensic A20 piqued my interest. Football Sundays. Colder weather on the way. I bit. Dude. Excellent recommendation! I’ve built a small obstacle course out of empty Amazon boxes. Just simple, easy fun during halftime. Thanks!

I purchased a refurbished Mavic Air fly more combo with even more extras from an official DJI eBay dealer for $799. That was before the China tariffs kicked in. The refurbished combo is now $919 in DJI store. I put the Master Airscrew Stealt props on. It’s quieter and has about a minute and a half more flight time. Absolutely the best drone on the market below the $1729 Mavic 2 Pro.

  41. Antonio L. Rivera on December 25, 2020 at 10:56 pm

Hi Kelly, I fly a Gopro Karma. I bought it refurbished when the initial models was having problem with the battery. I just paid $400 for it. I like that I can use my Gopro Hero 5 plus with adapter for a Nikon 52mm Circular polarizer. That drone is not longer made but you can find it on eBay almost brand new. I’m not sure if I can use the newer Hero 7 or 8 on the same harness but it is indeed worth a try. The color accuracy and sharpness are enough for my purposes. What are your thoughs about the Karma drone?

  42. Ready Set Drone on December 25, 2020 at 10:57 pm

Thanks for all the comments. Based on what is being said, I have to address 2 items. First, when I started working on this video a few weeks ago, the Mavic Pro Platinum was $999 on DJI’s web site. I just checked the price and it has gone up OVER $1,000 USD. Maybe something to do with US/Chinese tariffs? I’m not sure why. But…with that said, I would have to agree with many of the comments that the MAVIC AIR should be on the list – especially since it is less than $1,000 and the Mavic Pro Platinum is NOT less than $1,000 any more. Sorry for the inaccuracy on the price, but prices change. I really didn’t expect the price of the Mavic Pro Platinum to go up, but that’s just the crazy world we live in! Thanks to everyone who watched the video and please keep the comments coming. And oh, BTW, I have never owned a Yuneec or Autel drone. Nothing againt Yuneec or Autel, I just don’t have much experience with either of them. Hence the reason they are not on this list of my favorites. Fly Safe! Kelly

  46. Robert Garding on December 25, 2020 at 11:01 pm

I bought a refurbished Mavic Pro Platinum and it flies great…but the camera was not working great, and I am still fighting about it. It had a hard landing once, which cracked one of the feet…but that is not a concern. it flies great but the camera had stopped working as a wire was broken and finally came loose. I am still waiting to hear back from DJI on that, but other than that…it is a great drone, and I have a Drone Business Services I plan to use it with.
