Great vid, I have just done the EASA course and have a LUX Registration number. Can I fly in Spain? The Spanish love bureaucracy,is there anything else I need to put in place to fly there?

  2. Julian HG on April 28, 2022 at 6:11 pm

great video! i’m still finding it a little confusing, if my drone is 249g is it easier in spain than over 250g? thanks!

Thanks for the informative video! You mention I have to take tests at the drone school for my DJI Mavic Pro 2. What is a drone school? Can I do that once I get to Europe? I’m currently in Medellin, Colombia and plan to fly to Europe in August.

  8. ilija ilija on April 28, 2022 at 6:21 pm

What about the drones lighter than 250 grams? I thought i don’t need any type of certificate or permission for that..

  9. T Vlog on April 28, 2022 at 6:24 pm

Hi I will be travelling across France Switzerland Italy & Greece. I will be carrying a small drone like mavvic air 2s. I want to take videos of the beautiful sceneries. What do i need to do as a tourist??

  10. TSP0VF on April 28, 2022 at 6:24 pm

Hi! Thank you for your detailed summary!
Can you give us an advice for worldwide drone rules? We are a traveller couple and we tried to collect informations about drone rules in different (worldwide) countries but it isn’t that easy :).
So do you know any source (blog, page, yt channel) where we can find up-to-date informations about different countries restrictions (use, india, australian etc) and airlines rules?

  11. Nicoproart on April 28, 2022 at 6:25 pm

    Nice info

  12. PHDALI2 on April 28, 2022 at 6:25 pm

Do I still have to register my drone and do a questionnaire if the drone is less than 250 grams?

EU is quickly transforming into a dystopian he hellhole

Can a US citizen traveling to Europe fly his drone in the OPEN category? How can I get a license?

  15. JaagupKu on April 28, 2022 at 6:28 pm

This video did not cover self built freestyle drones. As I understand <250g is A1 and <25kg is A3 for home built freestyle racing drones.

OMG. Yesterday I bought DJI Air 2S in Germany. It is only 570 grams. I put label with my details, took drone insurance and registered in Ferderal Aviation Department. Can I fly this drone in a place where nobody lives…?

    Hello Celine,
I’ve learned that flying at night in Open Category is allowed. But a green light is required on the drone so you don’t break the VLOS rule.
I’m from Belgium to btw 😉

  19. Vic Can on April 28, 2022 at 6:31 pm

Thank you for this Celine. Good thing I found your video. I have read already some info about flying a drone here in Belgium but in the end I got confused 😀 . I am planning to buy a Mavic Mini 2 for my vlogs. Looks like I really have to register it and take that online test.

  20. niciie100 on April 28, 2022 at 6:31 pm

On the austrian website dronespace.at, it says that drones below 250g dont require a course and test. Can you confirm this?

  21. NaMerre on April 28, 2022 at 6:33 pm

    Fuck this drone regulation!

  22. laos85 on April 28, 2022 at 6:33 pm

This is 2021 century. You should be able to do it all online with drone simulator

  23. Shab Chowdhury on April 28, 2022 at 6:35 pm

If i buy the air 2 would i be able to fly in spain and portugal? I want to fly my drone for recreational purposes

  24. Clio Lyla on April 28, 2022 at 6:35 pm

Merci pour cet aperçu sur les lois et les drones , mais comment faire pour avoir un drone pour le drone fishing , est ce que c’est possible en Belgique , ou il faut passer ses vacances dans les pays lointains où c’est possible sans tracasseries ? Merci d’avance .

Wow the arm of authoritarianism is stretching even further.
The EU at this point has become a Communist organisation.

  27. VTB on April 28, 2022 at 6:38 pm

Seems like it’s pointless to buy a Mini 2 now. I’ll go for Air 2.

  28. Ahmad Dutch on April 28, 2022 at 6:40 pm

Hello! Can i bring my mavic mini to spain? I have fly certificate from Netherlands. Thanks

  29. Bjørn Carlsen on April 28, 2022 at 6:40 pm

Thanks for the informative video! I live in Norway, which now have the same regulations. I took the course online and got sertified this weekend. But here we are alllowed to fly at night, and I belive it will be legal in Europe as well?

  30. Renaud F on April 28, 2022 at 6:42 pm

Bonjour. If I wanted to take the test to be certified by EASA is the test online? I have my FAA certification in the U.S. but always take my drone to Europe and want to be compliant.

  31. elli channel on April 28, 2022 at 6:44 pm

  34. G on April 28, 2022 at 6:49 pm

I am in Portugal and the local police just flew a drone over my property, hovering for several minutes at upper window level of my house. They then flew it over our heads. Is this legal?

  35. Uche Oji on April 28, 2022 at 6:49 pm

Legolas said the drone was still in his visual periphery.

  36. Michelle Oui on April 28, 2022 at 6:49 pm

Hello! I live in Singapore and will be travelling to Italy soon. I’m using a DJI mini 2 which seems to be in the A1. May I know how can I get myself registered as drone pilot to fly in EU?

  37. David G on April 28, 2022 at 6:52 pm

Hey Celine. Get video. Just a question. How would the laws apply to flying an FPV drone indoors in the EU?

  38. Mirko Scanu on April 28, 2022 at 6:52 pm

Greetings from Sardinia Italy, have you news regarding uk and Easa for the European drone regulation 2021? thanks. I learned that the uk a1 a3 open category certificate is valid for all european member states

  42. Philip D on April 28, 2022 at 6:56 pm

Hi Celine ! I am a belgian guy living in costa rica but soon visiting belgium for some time. I recently bought a new drone, my first one, an air 2S and will try it in belgium. Aside registration there and the small online test is there something else i need to take into account ? Also i heard that in 2 years in 2023 my drone needs to have a C marking ? My drone probably does not have that … what happens if my drone will not have that marking ? I cannot imagine all these drones suddenly cannot be used anymore ? Was it a bad purchase then to use it in belgium ? Can you give me some advise please ? That would be great ! Salut Philippe 😉

  43. Susan Manandhar on April 28, 2022 at 6:57 pm

Thanks for Video! Well I live in Belgium too and I recently bought MAVIC AIR 2. Can you send me link how to register or get license?
