10inch 6S FPV Freestyle Quad – Hildagard395

▼ ▼ ▼ SETUP / SETTINGS LISTED BELOW ▼ ▼ ▼

First proper flight with the Hildagard395 after a good maiden flight! Strapped a GoPro on top this time to give you a bit footage of it. First thing need to said, that thing flies AWESOME, for a 10inch it performs so damn good, i expected some power but damn this is insane.

Only those Graupner props def. need some balancing, jello is really bad in some throttle ranges, anyway just minor improvements that have to be made like upping the P gains for Pitch and Roll , but for the first fpv flight it is still very good, also lowered intentionally the terms to prevent some issues. Arrived at the last stage – finetuning.
Overall iam so happy that my project of a 10inch worked out! Many thanks to Jack Deng for offering me those awesome motors in desired kv, also thumbs up to Airbot for these great ESC that take all that abuse with a smile! Also many thanks going out to Stefan van der Ende and Charles Hidalgo for creating such a fantastic frame and leading the fpv world into a new era 🙂 .

Glad that i could show you thats not impossible to fly a big sized prop with a pretty high (1050) KV and 6S. They kept telling me motors will gonna smoke ore amp draw will be too high because the props will not allow those high rpm’s or it will create too much draw while spinning them up too quick, or the outer mass on the arm in relation to COG is too big for making fast flips , don’t even think of a responsive yaw axis and and and…. Inverted yaw spin and some decent flip flop flying you’d see that ? 😉 😛
More videos following soon ! Need to try some 10″ tribladed props, hope for less jello and maybe even more response.

Love the video! Especially love seeing the monster before the flight. I would like to get some others interested in this hobby and seeing what’s flying is a help and makes it more interesting. Thanks for the build spec’s!

As they say 10" is always better than 5" or 3".

Do you think it’s possible to build and tune a 10" so it flies smooth like a 5" or do you just have to suck it up and accept jello on 10"?

  11. Brian Moreno on November 2, 2020 at 1:57 pm

Hello. I want to build the Hildegard 395. Where did you purchase the frame from?

    Hi.
Can you help me to adapt the brotherhobby motors M5 screw thread to propeller M8 hole
    (Graupner E-PROP 10×5) ?
Which adapter I should use ?

    Thanks.

The sound is awesome, but wonder if the props are balanced cause your footage has a lot of vibration in it.

  28. Sirbraapalot on November 2, 2020 at 2:18 pm

1st off this is awesome sounds amazing like a motorcycle in the air something . Secondly congratulations on your build and last but not least I know there are many comments and I tried to read to find it but if you could please explain the significance of putting the 1000 UF capacitor on the ear sees our greatly appreciate it I’m assuming that it’s reducing the noise to the components from the motors I’m wondering if I should do the same on my 7" build please let me know at your earliest convenience thnx

  29. LeonidasGFX on November 2, 2020 at 2:18 pm

with that thing you dont crash into trees, you accidentally chop them xD

but jokes aside it flies amazing! 😮

  31. Jared August on November 2, 2020 at 2:18 pm

want to make a drone for shark fishing and to lift like 8 lbs max what do yall think I’d need and could it be done under 400 bucks ?

  32. Cle Jons on November 2, 2020 at 2:21 pm

Outstanding Skills. Please do a combat drone version. drop sacks of starch on a dark gray target or shoot roman candles at a balloon filled with butane. Just to really show off your piloting skills.

  33. Denis Tuma on November 2, 2020 at 2:22 pm
