Great video. I’m in the early stages of setting up a side hustle for my drone (I’m a roofing contractor & got into droning for that line of work). My gateway into this was another aerial drone photography service contacted me from a list of 107 pilots in my area and asked if I would be willing to work projects for them. So don’t sleep on collaborating with other, more established drone service companies.

Very informative 👏. I appreciate you. I’m thinking about going to the next level and get part 107.

Thanks for the support for this video! Keep the comments and questions coming!

I just got my 107. I’m nervous to start without an LLC and insurance. I’m researching them currently. Is there anything else you recommend to make I have before I start? I build and race drones, so I have plenty. I mean other than that.

    some critique on the video.
the middle of your face seems to be a little dark. You might want to get a little light to remove that dark area.
it sounds like your mic and another mic is being used. it could be an echo, if so I’d suggest some sound absorption material behind the camera, as it’s where your voice is being projected to.
the volume between your voice and the drone music was a difference between a 3 and a 10. If the drone footage volume was lower it would have been a better experience.

Great video, I actually just signed up for my level 1 certification for thermal. Have you gotten any waivers yet? I’m just getting my business started. Have you done more towers? Can you speak more on RF

Great stuff, very informative. Do you have any opinions on starting out with a mini 2?

  9. David Bradley on March 29, 2021 at 1:12 am

Awesome video. I’ve been wanting to get back into the aviation field and have been researching how to get into the drone business for months. This is definitely the most encouraging video I’ve seen. Thank you for taking the time this make this.

The video clips are way too loud relative to the level of your voice. I’ve been rocking the volume up and down as we go through the video but It’s getting to be too much work…

    Great information!

  12. Vision Lesbluus on March 29, 2021 at 1:18 am

Thanks a bunch for all the info! Which drone would suggest for an absolute beginner? Would the mini 2 be better due to indoor and outdoor flying abilities? Such as for real estate. Would you recommend starting with something like that and using it to pay for better equipment? Or would starting with an air 2 and upgrading make more sense? Lastly, if you recommend starting with a phantom 4 should one be leery of buying 2nd hand for $1600 or so?
