Hey Everyone! On my Sunday Vlog I’ll be doing drone footage at some local car dealerships that I work with. My goal of this video is to show you a few tips & tricks on filming with your drone at Car Stores. Its pretty easy to film with your drone and get good video footage when your flying HIGH over trees, water etc. When your having to film a Business theres many things to take into consideration like the Sun, Shadows and what angles to shoot.
As always I enjoy reading your feedback and opinions as well.

Vehicles filmed at Dealerships are For Sale. Make sure to visit the dealerships website for detail info about each vehicle. If your watching a video thats older than 90 days you can expect that vehicle to most likely already being sold, unless its a new car.

FYI – Charleston Car Videos on YouTube Started in 2011. Back in 2008 is when I started filming cars as a car salesman to give people a better way to see a new or used vehicle. Over the years I ended up selling over 450 vehicles from doing videos. Today 1000’s of vehicles have sold from people using my car videos to sell cars at dealerships all over the South East Region.

I’m Chad Dolbier the creator of CCV. After High School I was unsure of what to do for a career as many young adults are. Instead of going to college I decided to start working in the car business in 2000. My first car job was at Acura of Charleston being a car detailer/washer. In 2003 our Acura store started to clear land next door and built Audi of Charleston. After a few years passing and still detailing Acura’s & Audi’s in 2005 I was asked to be a car salesman. In 2006 I started the Internet Department for Acura & Audi. Then in 2008 is when the car videos all started up! 2010 is when I left Acura & Audi and started my own car dealership video business. So far today I’ve built YouTube channel for over 18 car brands & dealerships. So enjoy my channel and hopefully you can learn something new! As always I enjoy learning from you as well so make sure to send me your feedback!

Damn. Just read your description, you’ve had one heck of a journey. I’m inspired by what you did and you do now. *Thumbs UP
I shoot real estate photography and plan to expand in the car industry to shoot photography/videography for luxury car dealerships near me. Just looking thru this channel I can tell you’re having a good time and an awesome career. I can’t wait to get started.

I would advise your viewers to be watchful of drone (and people/around 4:40) reflections in windows as well as drone shadows when the sun is at your back.

Also if you are being paid for this you should be using ND filters… this is the perfect time of day to shoot this!!! A lot of these shots should be slowed down. You cant use shadow as an excuse… you can turn your drone any which way you would like… this sun light is perfect… as you learn ND filters and how to shoot a bit better you will get the hang of it. I’m not by any means knocking you, just dont think you’re ready to teach. This is an old account of mine but I’ve got so much real estate videos and automotive videos I will be uploading.

The most important thing you should have mentioned to people is that if you are using your drone for commercial use such as this, that you need to have your PART 107 license and just as important BE INSURED! you smack a car with no license or insurance you you had better get another job to pay the fines and a good lawyer cause jail time is an option. It cost 150.00 to get your license a week of study maybe 2 and a 60 question test.

If you own a DJI then putting it in Tripod mode will allow you to film dolly and slider style footage both in and around the dealership.

If you’re not familiar with this mode it slows the drone down to 2mph max.

lol one last thing…. LAW ENFORCEMENT are learning UAV laws quickly so you cant get away with as much anymore… please do not fly commercially without your part 107 I cant stress it enough… they can take your rights of ever getting your license, it makes laws more strict for us responsible pilots and it’s going to land you in a world of trouble… air space and the FAA are nothing to fuck around with… they will nail you to the wall to make an example of you!
