Elite – how not to lose all your limpets while core mining

Elite – how not to lose all your limpets while core mining

A little bit of guidance how to mitigate collector limpet suicide as well as using prospector limpets efficiently when mining asteroid cores in Elite Dangerous.

Sorry for the low production quality, the grind has been real lately (in the game but also at work)

The core asteroids light up bright yellow from far away – but when you get closer, you see that they also have a dark area on them. You have to be at the right distance to see this, and the dark area just shows up for maybe a second after it starts lighting up, and then it turns yellow all over. Also; at least the void opal core asteroids are relatively "round" shape with "popcorn" style protrutions (kinda resembles a popcorn).

Looking at how rough the surface of the rock is works decent for me, u can like tell if it looks like it’d go in pieces easily or not

how come they disinintegrate after one collection at 2/3 of the times ? does it really just have to do with enough space around the ship ?
